- The Mediatek Helio P25 is an upper mainstream ARM SoC for smartphones (mainly Android based) that was introduced in 2017. It is manufactured in a 16 nm FinFET+ process and is equipped with 8 ARM.
- MediaTek Helio G25 MediaTek Helio G80 Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) is a more advanced version of big.LITTLE technology. In this setup, a processor can utilize all cores at the same time, or just a single core for low-intensity tasks.
Helio P25 brings advanced camera effects at a reasonable price - now you can have Video HDR with full preview, shallow Bokeh effect and faster time for focusing and snapping images. The chipset will support up to 24 MP single camera or 13MP+13MP dual camera setups.
The octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU is clocked at 2.5 GHz and the GPU that goes along is Mali-T880 clocked at 900 MHz. This 16 nm setup offers up to 25% better power efficiency. The Helio P25 also supports LTE and RAM up to 6GB.
Smartphones with the chipset are expected to be on the market in Q1 2017.
